Taking Care of Your Rubber
The care of your rubber garments is of the up most of importance if you wish to wear it for many years.
After wearing your rubber item you should wash it in Luke warm water to remove any residue of perspiration.
A light soap solution can be used but ensure that it has no acidic properties.Be aware that some soaps have a small amount of caustic soda in the constituents so choose carefully. If you are not sure just use water.
Pat dry with towel and hang up to air off on a wood or plastic hanger, do not use a metal one as it can mark the rubber.
Ensure that no perfumes or creams get onto the surface of the garment as it is sure to melt the rubber and a hole will appear.
Talcum powder can be used to assist the wearer to get into the garment,wipe of the exterior with a cloth.
To obtain the high gloss required of your garment you must polish the exterior with a rubber polish or car silicone spray.We use a simple dash board spray such as "Cockpit Shine" obtainable from most supermarkets and car spares shops.
